Here's a selection of paintings I painted in the summer. Myself and Els were on vacation in Derbyshire, England. A favorite location of ours for rambling, exploring and painting. Full Roman and early man history, caves, fossils and precious Blue John stone! The mountains and surrounding area are made up of fossilised rock, basically you are stood on an ancient seabed. With the thaw of the glaciers it caused a huge rush of water that shaped the mountains. There are really interesting mining areas to explore, long forgotten and kept secret by mother nature. It could be a long lost dwarfen kingdom.
